We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and successful practitioner keen to develop their career to join Our Lady and St Chad Catholic Academy in the role of Teacher of MFL. The successful candidate must be able to teach French and Spanish to KS3 and KS4. This role would suit a newly qualified teacher or a more experienced teacher seeking a new challenge.
The MFL department are a dedicated, aspirational and forward thinking team of teaching staff. MFL is taught in a suite of 4 large classrooms, all with interactive whiteboards and access to laptops.
We have a successful team and MFL is a popular subject with all pupils studying a language to GCSE and some at KS5. Studies at all levels are enhanced by educational visits to France and Spain giving students the opportunity to practice their language skills. We also have established links with partner schools in Japan and Uganda. We are a member of PiXL and teachers are motivated to develop innovative practice, such as the introduction of Kagan strategies.
